Can we postpone our match? What if it needs to be abandoned?

Matches should only be postponed as a result of adverse weather conditions. 

Please follow the Bad Weather Procedure in Regulation 11.6 of the England Hockey Championships Regulations in the 'Useful Documents' section to ensure you comply and follow the correct protocols before postponing. 

Occasionally, there might extenuating circumstances outside of the regulations that warrant a match being postponed. If this is the case, you should contact EHCD as soon as possible here. 

Once started, matches may only be abandoned by the umpires. This may be because of adverse weather conditions, a serious injury to a player or another reason they feel justified to make.
