How do I sign up to the DBS Update Service?

After you have followed the link above, you will need to input the following information:

• Name
• Gender
• Date of Birth
• Email address
• DBS Certificate Number
• A payment card (only if the certificate you are adding is for a non-volunteer role)

Once you have signed up to the DBS Update Service, you will be given a unique ID number beginning with the letter C. You will need to keep a record of this number as the service will ask for this if you wish to log into your account.

You will need to sign up to the DBS Update Service and add a DBS certificate within 30 days of the certificate being issued. If you do not sign up within 30 days, you will not be able to use the service until you get another DBS check.
