David has been nominated for leading England’s women to an historic first ever Commonwealth Games gold medal this summer, culminating in a fantastic 2-1 win over Australia in the final.
With a number of players lining up in their very first Commonwealth Games, England won all six games and conceded just three goals along the way as they struck gold in Birmingham.

Performance Director Ed Barney said: “Ralphie has done an exceptional job since taking the lead late in 2021. To build a squad capable of dominating the Commonwealth Games only ten months after the Tokyo Olympics, and with the full squad only coming together three months beforehand has been truly impressive to watch.
“There are few coaches who bring such an enviable level of emotional intelligence, coaching skills and technical acumen. Whilst the squad performance will always be a reflection of the player group and full staff team, Ralphie’s inspiring leadership has been truly impactful.”
