Everything you need to know about the England Hockey Premier Division Finals Weekend.
Where?
Surbiton Hockey Club, Sugden Road, KT7 0AE
When?
The four semi-finals will take place on Saturday 13 April with both finals and the third/fourth play-off matches all taking place on Sunday 14 April.
What?
Finals Weekend at Surbiton HC will see eight top-level games and hundreds of supporters watching the action. There is a large fan zone with lots of food stalls, outside bars and marquee, England hockey store, hockey games and bouncy castle for the kids.
Whether we’re blessed with glorious sunshine or the more familiar British April weather, Surbiton has have everything covered (literally) on and off the pitch.
Last, but definitely not least, Surbiton is a dog-friendly venue. But please ensure your furry friends are well-behaved and on leads!
Please note that Surbiton is a cashless venue and will only be able to accept card payments.
How?
We are aiming to make this as sustainable an event as possible. If you would like to arrive by public transport, we can be reached on the train by travelling to Surbiton and Hinchley Wood stations, which are both within walking distance. Alternatively, the K3 bus stops right outside the club (Rectory Lane) and we also have plenty of bike storage.
Who?
Making up the four women’s semi-finalists are: Hampstead & Westminster, Surbiton, current champions East Grinstead and, making their finals debut, Wimbledon. East Grinstead and Hampstead & Westminster get us underway in the first of the two women’s semi-finals at 11:00 before the second semi-final at 13:15 Surbiton taking on Wimbledon.
The men’s semi-finalists are Hampstead and Westminster, Surbiton, Old Georgians, and Wimbledon. Surbiton will be taking on Hampstead and Westminster in the first semi-final at 15:30 while Old Georgians and Wimbledon will be getting underway at 17:45.
It’s all to play for on Sunday where the two women’s finalists get started at 14:30 and the men’s final rounds out what will be a cracking weekend of action at 17:00.
