Super 6s Finals Weekend 2 Review

After another enthralling weekend of games in the Super 6s Championships, the eight finals day spots were confirmed in the Premier Division as well as the winners of Division 1. 

In the Women’s Premier Division at Repton School, Buckingham maintained their unbeaten record to finish top with seven wins out of eight, followed closely by the only other team to remain unbeaten, Slough.  The top four was completed by East Grinstead in third and Surbiton in fourth place, both with strong second weekends.  So, the Semi-finals on 28 January are: 

10:30  Women’s Semi Final 1 – Buckingham (1) v Surbiton (4) 
11:45  Women’s Semi Final 2 – Slough (2) v East Grinstead (3) 

At the other end of the table, Bowdon finished in 8th place and Leicester in 9th

Old Georgians were top of the Men’s Premier Division, winning seven out of their eight games.  Below them four teams were separated by only three points as the remaining three finals spots were contested.  It was Sevenoaks that finished as runner-up, with Wimbledon one point behind them in third.  Hampstead & Westminster edged out East Grinstead in fourth, with a superior goal difference.  The schedule for finals day is now confirmed:  
 
13:00  Men’s Semi Final 1 - Old Georgians (1) v Hampstead & Westminster (4) 
14:15  Men’s Semi Final 2 - Sevenoaks (2) v Wimbledon (3) 

At the bottom, Ashmoor and Surbiton finished in 8th & 9th places respectively.

Southgate earned promotion as Men’s Division One champions along with runners up Canterbury. Women’s Division One final placings will be confirmed shortly, subject to a player eligibility query.
