Play on Pitch at the Women's Euro Hockey Qualifiers
Today is the start of the final summer campaign for the England women as they face Croatia, Wales and Slovakia at Durham University’s Sports and Wellbeing Park.
Today, the first of three matches for the women's team will see England Face Croatia at 19:30. The squad includes 12 Olympic medal winners, including goalkeeper Maddie Hinch and Britain's most successful player of all time Laura Unsworth. Durham students Fiona Crackles and Tess Howard return to the north east; with Tess fresh from scoring one of England's two goals in the Commonwealth Games final.
On Sunday, England face Slovakia at 13:00 in the final game of this years Qualification A tournament in Durham, this will be followed by a medal ceremony at 14:30, where the winners will be crowned and celebrations will commence as the winners will have qualified for the European Championships in Summer 2023.
Spectators will have the opportunity to play on pitch with the England Squad from around 15:30 – 16:30. This will be a great opportunity for everyone to pick up a stick and get involved. So make sure you get your tickets for Sunday so you do not miss out.
