Old Georgians are on the verge of securing the League title and / or European Qualification, as they aim to continue their superb winning form in the Men’s Premier Division.
After a stellar season where they have only been beaten once (2-0 away to Wimbledon in late October), Old Georgians could find themselves with a first Men's Premier Division title if results fall their way by Sunday evening.
Holding a 10-point lead at the top and with 15 points still available, the league Championship is tantalisingly within their grasp, while Wimbledon need to win at home against Holcombe to keep up the charge. The hosts beat Holcombe 2-1 when the two sides last met at Raynes Park in October.
In addition, OGs could secure European hockey for the first time in their history. The Surrey outfit face an away trip to Hampstead & Westminster on Sunday, with a Euro Hockey League berth sealed for next season if they can win their fifth match in succession on the road.
Old Georgians beat Hampstead at Paddington Rec 5-0 the last time the two sides met in London in November.
With Old Georgians holding such a sizable gap at the top of the league, the race is now on between Wimbledon, Surbiton, Hampstead & Westminster and Holcombe for the second European spot.
Surbiton, in third, face East Grinstead at Sugden Road. Mark Pearn's side have prevailed twice over East Grinstead in West Sussex already this season.
Surbiton remain three points behind second-placed Wimbledon following the pair’s dramatic 5-5 draw last weekend. Both sides have mustered seven points from a possible 15 points since the league restart as the battle for Europe continues in earnest.

University of Exeter will be relegated from the Premier Division if they lose and Brooklands Manchester University secure a positive result this weekend.
Exeter are nestled at the bottom on four points and nine points behind Brooklands MU, with four games remaining in the season, ahead of the latest round of Phase 2 Bottom 5 fixtures.
Exeter host Durham University on Sunday, a fortnight after the west country side dismantled their student rivals 9-0.
The two basement sides played out a 3-3 draw the last time the sides met in Exeter. But both teams' survival hopes rest on how Brooklands perform at Beeston, who have won their last three.
The previous two matches this season have ended in draws played at Brooklands.
However, Beeston are the form team in the split league. Their third win on the spin last weekend came against leaders Oxted, who have a rest weekend.

Form and goals are on their side, with Nottingham having scored four or more in each of their last six matches. The last time they scored less than three came back in October.

Harborne's title challenge has faltered of late after two defeats in three. They play under the lights on Saturday against mid-table Lichfield.
Meanwhile, Khalsa Leamington need victory against Bedford to keep relegation at bay. But their fate will be sealed should they fail to do so and University of Birmingham 2 accrue a point or more against fellow strugglers Cambridge University.
