It's Time To #GetSeasonReady
With the 2023/24 season fast approaching, England Hockey is launching its #GetSeasonReady campaign which is designed to offer clubs everything they need to kick start the season in the best way possible.
#GetSeasonReady is aimed at helping clubs, coaches, players and officials prepare for the new season whether that’s supporting new players or preparing your pitch, there will be something for everyone.
#GetSeasonReady will highlight a number of ways in which clubs can get support and will focus on three key themes – Playing (helping clubs grow, retain and diversify memberships), People (supporting and inspiring coaches, umpires and volunteers) and Environment (helping ensure that hockey is safe and enjoyable for everyone with top tips and support around safeguarding, policies and procedures).
England Hockey will share a host of key resources available to clubs over the coming weeks as they get ready for the season.
England Hockey Chief Executive, Nick Pink said: “We are really excited about the start of the 2023/24 season. Last year, we saw huge successes across all levels of league hockey, and hockey clubs doing some fantastic work in their communities.
“We want to make sure that all clubs have everything they need to have a successful season, whether that is shouting about the range of hockey programmes that clubs offer or ways to improve their facilities, we’ve got a whole range of resources to help clubs #GetSeasonReady.”
England Hockey’s Head of Development Jo Duff, added: “As we look ahead to an exciting new hockey season we’d like to invite all clubs to link into and utilise the support on offer through our #GetSeasonReady campaign.
“We will provide a suite of guidance and support including forums, videos, checklists, signposting and top tips to name a few which will help clubs to be as ready as possible for the new season by helping them to meet their members’ needs, support their volunteers and generally make sure the experience at their club is as enjoyable as possible for everyone involved”
