England Hockey Premier Division Finals Weekend

Everything you need to know about the England Hockey Premier Division Finals Weekend

Where?

Surbiton Hockey Club, Sugden Road, KT7 0AE

Not only do Surbiton take on hosting duties they will also be looking for double success as the only club with two sides vying for the season-ending men's and women's double this weekend. If that's not enough, Surbiton women will also be gunning for a ninth successive league title to underline their status as one of British sport’s most successful club teams.

When?

The four semi-finals will take place on Saturday 1 April with both finals and the third/fourth play-off matches all taking place on Sunday 2 April. What better way to start April than with a finals weekend.

What?

Finals Weekend at Surbiton HC will see a marquee, with an outside bar and catering alongside hundreds of supporters watching the top-level action.

Whether we’re blessed with glorious sunshine or the more familiar British April weather, Surbiton will have you covered (literally), and you can enjoy the action while cheering your team on.

On the food and drink front, there will be some brilliant catering options available including local favourites Happy Hill Kitchen (Caribbean Street Food) & Little Ginger (100% plant based). Popular fast food options are also available from the Snack Shack over the weekend.

However, please note that Surbiton is a cashless venue and will only be able to accept card payments.

The weekend will be a great atmosphere and not least Sunday evening which will be an epic night of drinks, live DJ & dancing at the after party!

Last, but definitely not least, Surbiton is a dog-friendly venue. But please ensure your furry friends are well-behaved and on leads!

How?

We are aiming to make this as sustainable an event as possible. If you would like to arrive by public transport, we can be reached on the train by travelling to Surbiton and Hinchley Wood stations, which are both within walking distance. Alternatively, the K3 bus stops right outside the club (Rectory Lane) and we also have plenty of bike storage.

Who?

Making up the four women’s semi-finalists are: Hampstead & Westminster, Surbiton, Clifton Robinsons, and finally East Grinstead. Surbiton and Hampstead & Westminster get us underway in the first of the two women’s semi-finals at 13:00 before the 15:00 start sees Clifton Robinsons face off with East Grinstead.

The men’s semi-finalists are Holcombe, Surbiton, Old Georgians, and Wimbledon. Old Georgians and Wimbledon take first honours as they get underway at 17:00 before the day’s action is rounded out between Surbiton and Holcombe at 19:00.

It’s all to play for on Sunday where the two women’s finalists get started at 13:00 and the men’s final rounds out what will be a cracking weekend of action at 17:00.

See you there!
