Rehome The Big Stadium Hockey Legacy Pitch
Big Stadium Hockey is due to return to Twickenham Stoop, home of the Harlequins, on 4-5 June when England face The Netherlands in the FIH Pro League.
England Hockey is excited to announce that your club can become the home of the turf from Big Stadium Hockey 2022. The Polytan Poligras Tokyo GT carpet is the surface that was used at the Tokyo Olympic Games and at Bisham Abbey where the Great Britain and England squads train.
We are currently taking expressions of interest for the Big Stadium Hockey Project pitch to ensure that once the event is finished at The Stoop, the turf is immediately installed at a new venue.
All works must be carried out by Polytan with further pricing support offered on costing for localised issues e.g. Shockpad replacement.
All costs for works will be the responsibility of the recipient venue and finalised costs will be shown before full commitment is required.
Advice and guidance can be offered to sites with regards to total costs for uplift of the existing carpet and any additional costs that may be incurred such as shockpad replacement.
All warranties will be held between Polytan and the successful venue.
The retail price for a carpet of this quality is normally over £205,000 (+VAT).
To ensure your expression of interest is considered please email facilities@englandhockey.co.uk ensuring details of funds in place to pay for the works and contingency for other items.
There is an expectation that the existing field must be uplifted by Friday 3 June 2022, please confirm in your email that the site can meet this requirement. You will receive a response along with answers to any questions and queries within 5 working days of your email.
The closing date for expressions of interest is 12:00 (noon) Monday 21 March 2022. Any submissions after this date will not be considered.
Applications will be scored against a criteria that will be shared after the expression of interest stage. This offer is only available to sites in Great Britain with sites in England given priority.
