Since making his debut in May 2015, David has become a regular for both the England and Great Britain sides and was appointed as the vice-captain of both in early 2019.
He may be a kind and gentle person off the pitch but, on it, he’s a world class operator, capable of distributing defence-splitting passes while also regularly disrupting opposition attacks.
David was part of the team that appeared at Rio 2016 before winning a bronze medal with England at the 2017 EuroHockey Championships before injury limited his appearances.
However he fought back superbly to help England to a fourth-placed finish at the 2018 World Cup and has barely missed a game since, leading to him playing a crucial role as GB's men finished fifth at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
