The FIH Hockey Pro League is our annual global league where the best women’s and men’s teams in the world compete head to head.
Read on below for all you need to know about this showpiece global competition.

Each year nine of the top men’s and women’s international teams from across the globe compete in the FIH Hockey Pro League. Following the same format of previous years, each team will play a total of 16 matches across the seven-month season.
‘Mini-tournaments’ - where multiple teams will convene to play two matches against each other, will take place in nine different locations across the two leagues.
Teams will compete to win points, which will decide their placement on the league table. Three points will be awarded to a victory during regular time and zero points to a loss. If a match ends in a draw after regular time, a shoot-out will commence. The victor of the shoot-out will win two points, while the team defeated receives one point.
After each team plays 16 matches, the team that has accumulated the most points will be crowned champions of the FIH Hockey Pro League Season Six.
Lifting the FIH Hockey Pro League Trophy will come along with a new and tremendous incentive in the form of a direct qualification for the Women’s and Men’s FIH Hockey World Cup 2026.
