Women’s Performance Coach and Club Coaches

Marlow is a happy, supportive and growing club which has seen lots of success over the past few years. Our Women’s 1s have just been promoted to National League Conference West. We love developing players and coaches alike and believe you won’t finder a more supportive club environment as a coach.  We have excellent links with both our feeder secondary schools. Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School also has roles available which can combine with roles below to make one full time role.

Women’s Performance Coach and Club Coaches
The coach is responsible for the 2nd team training, match day preparation and planning for the season. Plan and run weekly sessions for our 2nd team who train on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm-9.15pm and attend Saturday matches across the South Central Area. Sessions should be fun encompassing skill development as well as tactical improvement. You will need to be able to work with the Women’s 1s coaching team to facilitate player development and movement between squads. The coach will also be responsible for watching the Women’s 3s occasionally to ensure that players are included in future development plans. The women’s 2s play in South Central Division 1and comprise a mix of adults and older junior players.  We offer all our roles

U10 Boys and Girls Coach
The role involves planning and running Friday evening sessions from 5.30-7pm to cover U10 girls and U10 boys although they train separately on the same pitch. Developing players ready to play 7 aside hockey. The role involves supporting our parent coaches and Young Leaders in delivering the sessions There is no expectation to attend Sunday matches, these are generally staffed by parents. However, if the candidate has a desire to attend matches this will be supported.
 
 
U16 Boys Coach
Plan and run sessions for our U16 A and B squads supported by an assistant coach as well as attend Sunday matches which are generally two weekends a month. Sessions are on Monday evenings from 6-7.30pm at our home pitch. Sessions should be fun, engaging and develop players technically and tactically.


Walking Hockey Coach 
We want to develop our hockey offering to our whole community and are keen to develop walking hockey during the day to engage the older community of Marlow. This can be at a day/time to suit the candidate.


Flyerz Hockey Coach
We set up Flyerz Hockey sessions last season and have been running sessions to provide hockey sessions for people with additional needs be they physical or neurological. These sessions run on Sunday afternoons from 4-5pm during the season. We would also like to offer out reach sessions in special schools and develop our links with the community further. This role will include some paid admin time to enable us to build links with the wider community.


Primary School Outreach Coach
We currently provide hockey sessions to all state primary schools in Marlow. They are generally for years 5 and 6. Sessions take place in curriculum time and work well in combination with another role.
 
Requirements
·      Level 2 or equivalent qualification (although we can help with funding this should you need to do this)
·      First Aid Certificate
·      Safeguarding and Protecting Certificate.
·      We will carry out a club DBS prior to employment
