Age Group Lead Coach

Working alongside the Director of Junior Hockey and Junior Development Leads, the Age Group Lead Coach will lead the weekly training session and Sunday fixtures for their respective age group. Availability for midweek training and Sunday fixtures is essential.

Old Georgians HC are looking to recruit enthusiastic, inspiring and skilled coaches to join the coaching team. Ian Sloan, double Team GB Olympian, joined this season as Director of Junior Hockey whilst David Ames, triple Team GB Olympian, joined as the Junior Boys Development Lead. Within this role you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your coaching whilst coaching a group of talented young hockey players. 

The Age Group Lead Coach responsibilities will include:

• Planning and leading training content, alongside the Junior Development Lead, throughout the hockey season
• Preparing age group teams for their fixtures
• Selecting the squads for each fixture
• Providing feedback to players within their squad
• Opportunities to coach on hockey camps and during the summer term hockey programme
