Hockey Coach

Main Duties & Responsibilities: 

·         Plan and deliver effective coaching sessions to children of all abilities as part of the Caterham School Hockey Academy. 

·         Work with the Hockey Academy Manager to ensure that players experience a safe, inclusive fun and positive environment in which they can progress their hockey skills. 

·         Assess and monitor player performance, provide feedback and guidance to support player development.

·         Provide coaching on holiday camps throughout the year

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:

·         Minimum Level 1 Hockey Coaching Qualification, though a higher qualification is desirable.

·         Experience of coaching children in a school or club environment.

·         Understand what is required to successfully develop players to progress and enjoy their hockey through your own playing experience

·         Be prepared to undergo an enhanced DBS check

·         Can work as lead coach or as part of a team to deliver first class Hockey coaching 

·         Be able to coach Academy sessions at Caterhams family of schools. 

·         Hardworking and reliable with high standards and excellent attention to detail

·         Excellent organisational, timekeeping and communication skills

·         Inspirational, enthusiastic, and a positive role model.

·         Committed to personal development and self-improvement

Working Hours 

Currently 5.30-70.00pm on Monday & Tuesday but this will increase when we add sessions on Wednesday and Thursday and launch at Copthorne 

Holiday Camps run during all school Holidays throughout the year. 

Hourly Rate – Competitive
