Coach - Letchworth Ladies 1s and 2s

Letchworth Hockey Club would like to recruit an experienced coach for our Ladies 1s and 2s squads.

Currently our Ladies1’s play in the East Women’s Division 1.  We are looking for a talented coach to continue with the excellent work of our previous coach, developing our technical and game play skills.  As part of our development, we would like to return to the Premier Division and aim to reduce the gap in leagues between our Ladies 1s and 2s.  The coach will also liaise with the ladies 3’s, 4’s and 5’s coach to ensure there are shared principles, training and game play embedded throughout the ladies’ section.  

Our Ladies 1’s and 2’s are a friendly and committed group, talented and are all passionate about their hockey, with a great mix of younger talent and experienced players.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high level coaching sessions to both teams on Training nights usually Tuesday evenings between 19.30-21.30 latest!

Coach the Ladies 1s team at matches, attending friendly and league games both home and away on Saturdays. 

Provide development feedback to the squad and individuals, clear de-briefs on training and game play. Work alongside our Ladies 1/2s captains to ensure correct team selections and carry out 121s with players not performing to the level expected. 

Appropriate first aid and safeguarding training

Any successful candidate would be subject to a DBS check.

We are looking for candidates with good communication skills, great tactical knowledge and an understanding of the physical and mental demands of sport at this level.

Required: Level 2 qualification
