BromBecks HC are looking to recruit an experienced individual to be our new Ladies Head Coach.  The Ladies 1st team are currently in a growth phase and aim to make a quick return back into National League, after a solid season in South East Premier League.  You will help progress the development of the squad and propel our Ladies back into the National League, supported by a wider club development strategy.

The Ladies Head Coach will be responsible for ensuring the high performance of our Ladies 1st XI, whilst also supporting the Ladies 2nd team squad and working closely on the development of our high-performance juniors, of which we have many.

The individual will be expected to deliver engaging and midweek training sessions for both Ladies 1st and 2nd team squads.  You are encouraged to bring fresh ideas to sessions and develop areas required to improve performance based on weekend analysis.  You will be expected to all home games and travel with the team to away games.

You will also be expected to support our mid-week Junior Performance Academy sessions and have an input into planning and delivery of our thriving Sunday training programme.

You will need to have strong interpersonal skills to work with a team that has been established for a number of years.  You’ll also be expected to help drive recruitment from the outset

BromBecks HC is one of the oldest and proudest hockey clubs in the UK, following the merger at the start of the 2005/6 season and since then have been a consistently high performing club. Our Men’s 1st team remain competitive in the national league and both our Ladies and Men’s sides have aspirations to be consistently performing at this level.  We have 8 adult men’s and 5 adult ladies’ teams.  We are an extremely sociable club with an active events programme.

Our junior section remains strong with 350+ members, ranging from U6 to U18 age groups, and multiple national cup successes over recent seasons

Required: England Hockey Coach Qualification (or Level 2 equivalent).  DBS checks, first aid training and child protection training will need to be undertaken.

Desired: England Hockey Advanced Coach Programme (or Level 3 equivalent), other relevant qualifications.

Reporting to: Director of Hockey        Closing date: 11th August 2024

Remuneration: Competitive (based on experience) plus performance bonus & expenses. Other benefits (including accommodation) are negotiable.
