Berkshire Hockey Association (BHA) runs an active DC and AC program for the country. We typically have 500 youngsters involved each year as well as a thriving schools program. We are seeking Assistant Coaches as part of the Berkshire County programme

The successful candidates will work with our highly regarded junior programme. This is a great opportunity for those who are passionate about hockey are keen to coach and are looking to develop their skills and experience working with junior players and obtaining more advanced coaching qualifications.

The Role:

  • Working closely with the Head Coach to deliver the coaching programs for junior players of all abilities and age ranges.
  • Assessing and monitoring player performance, providing feedback and guidance to support player development.
  • Supporting and attending matches and tournaments.
  • Developing a positive relationship with junior players to encourage recruitment and retention.
  • Maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for players.

You will bring:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for hockey and developing and enthusing young players.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding requirements.

This is a part-time, self-employed role with the possibility of extra hours (to be agreed with you). The role will require weekend and evening work.
