Do I need special equipment to deliver hockey?

No, you don’t. Existing hockey sticks and balls can be used, however a special range of equipment has been developed specifically for primary schools to aid the delivery of Quicksticks and Hockey Heroes.  Both use a special ball which is lighter and larger than a normal hockey ball. For Hockey Heroes smaller plastic sticks have been designed especially for younger children and aim to help children to play the game while keeping them safe.  School equipment packs can be purchased on-line and includes all the lesson resources here.
