What is meant by Ways to Play?
Historically, many people have only been able to access hockey in the traditional format e.g. playing on Saturdays in league matches. However, with peoples' lives changing all the time, and their commitments to other competing activities, it is vital that clubs look to provide different ways to engage and provide opportunities for its members, and non-members. Hence, many clubs now look to provide all sorts of different "ways to play" including Summer League, Small Sided Hockey, Vitality Back to Hockey, Walking Hockey, pay and play, Masters (often midweek) and then junior programmes like Hockey Heroes. If you wish to find out where the nearest club to you that offers these formats are, visit the Find a Club section here, and check for the different ways to play they offer.
