What is the Advanced Coaches Programme (ACP) and how do I get a space?
The ACP is for any active coach who is genuinely keen to advance their coaching for the benefit of their players and the sport. They must be committed to personal development, open to feedback, excited about learning and interested in applying the GB Coaching philosophy in their sessions. It is delivered in a modular format with regards to the structured content, but there is also lots of unstructured content, and coaches on the programme are appointed a mentor to support and challenge them during the two years they are part of the programme.
The Advanced Coaching Programme (ACP) has an open entry process once a year, which usually takes applications around March/April and the submission requires an array of evidence to be submitted which is then assessed by the Great Britain Coaching team to then allocate an agreed number of places to a specific cohort of coaches. Entry to a cohort is not possible outside of that application process.
