Who is accountable for “driving” Officiating forward?

Whilst there are multiple stakeholders in the provision and delivery of Officiating across the country, everyone has their ability to drive Officiating forward. Through the leadership of England Hockey and the associated governance structures, we all take a collective responsibility for delivering the improvement of standards and administration of Officiating at all levels of the game.

One of the biggest drivers of recruitment of Officials are clubs, who supply over 80% of adult league matches weekly in England, plus a high number of parent helpers / umpires to facilitate junior hockey from U8’s through to U18’s. EHO will be tasked with providing materials to support the recruitment of Officials at club level for Areas or Clubs to be able to use.
