Established in 1886 and based in Altrincham, Cheshire, Bowdon has a long history of success and a powerhouse of North hockey. They boast a waterbased pitch alongside an iconic clubhouse they share with the sports’ club’s cricket section.
Bowdon is very much a family club with multiple generations playing in their famous red & black halves.

One of the leading hockey clubs in Wales, combining the historic Cardiff Hockey Club, founded in 1896, with Cardiff Metropolitan University. The club are the only Welsh men’s team to have played in the top flight.
The club is based at Cardiff Metropolitan University’s Cyncoed Campus, boasting excellent facilities and fostering a close connection between student athletes and the wider hockey community.

Based in West Sussex, the club was founded in 1897 and over ninety years later was a founder member of the league’s top flight in 1988. As well as outdoor titles they are great proponents of the indoor game with fourteen national indoor championships.
The club’s home is East Grinstead Sports Club in Saint Hill where they have established a great tradition for well hosted home matches.

Based at Paddington Recreation Ground, Hampstead & Westminster is London’s most central club with close to 1000 members from Under 6s to Over 60s. Their clubhouse base is the historic Carlton Tavern famously rebuilt in 2021.
The club are one of only three with teams in both genders of the Premier Division plus 2nd XIs playing at other levels in the league.

Holcombe hail from Rochester Kent and their Curtis Way ground has two all-weather artificial grass hockey pitches with the show pitch alongside a well-appointed clubhouse.
They are very much a family club and proud to celebrate the success of their England Masters internationals alongside those with senior international honours.

Founded by former pupils of St Georges College back in 1995 Old Georgians have a short but illustrious history. They come into the season as league champions after three successive league titles and last Easter earned bronze medals in the Euro Hockey League.
The club play their home matches at the college in Weybridge.

Oxted history goes back to the post War period when a men’s section was added to the existing women’s. Unlike a number of other top flight clubs who have always been strong the club has developed beyond recognition from its early days
Oxted play their home games at nearby Caterham School. They were national knockout champions in the Covid hit 2020/21 season.

Richmond’s history dates back 150 years to 1874 and they are one of three current Premier Division clubs out of the eight who formed The Hockey Association (men’s) in 1886.
Richmond play at the historic Quintin Hogg Memorial Ground (previously Polytechnic which has hosted a number of sports including the 1948 Olympic Hockey tournament and international hockey tournaments in the last decade.

Southgate’s home is Trent Park in North London.
They were the winners of the inaugural national league in 1989 and this came on the back of four successive HA Cup wins, with three earlier successes in the 1970 & 80s and three European Club Championships in the 1970s too.

Another founder member of The Hockey Association, formed in 1874, Surbiton has a proud tradition in the sport and has two men’s and two women’s teams in the England Hockey League.
In recent years they have developed and improved their Sugden Road ground where the last two EHL finals have been held, and in October 2024 they host the EuroHockey league KO16 round.
