QMC Bridge Repairs – Junior Club Finals Weekend 12-13 April
National Highways continue to carry out repairs to the north bridge on the QMC roundabout following a vehicle strike. This will include:
- removing and replacing the damaged beam to improve the safety of the bridge
- waterproofing the bridge to increase its resilience
- resurfacing to provide a smoother road surface
Once complete, the integrity of the structure will be maintained for many years to come and provide a safer road throughout. Their work started on 21 August 2024, and we expect to complete by summer 2025.
Their next full weekend closures will take place from 8pm on Friday 11 April to 6am on Monday 14 April.
To complete our work safely, we’ll continue to work under a combination of lane closures and full carriageway closures.
For all people attending England Hockey events at Nottingham Hockey Centre, we recommend to:
- Plan your journey in advance
- Check national highways daily closure page and live travel on Traffic England site, or sign up to their travel alerts.
- Leave additional time for travel
- Share vehicles where possible
