These pages are all about the junior development pathway for players. There are three key areas to a junior player's development, which are listed below. Please click on the links to find out more about each one.
National Performance Centres (NPCs) have been selected by England Hockey to work in partnership with the National Governing Body to deliver key areas of the Single System, including talent selection, which support hockey’s performance objectives. The centres will provide excellence in training facilities and the delivery of a high performance hockey programme for selected players aged 18 – 23 years.
National Age Group Squads (NAGS) represent England at U16, U18 and U21 level. The U16 and U18 squads are selected at the England Hockey Futures Cup. Selection for one of these squads is the highest honour that junior hockey players can attain.
