Leicester powered through both of their Sunday fixtures to keep their 100 per cent start to the Women’s Maxifuel Super Sixes Championship Premier Division campaign.
In their first game of the day they saw off Sutton Coldfield with a narrow 3-2 victory thanks to goals from Chloe Rogers, Katie Long (pictured) and Nic White.
They followed that up with a 5-2 victory over Reading in the afternoon. Kerry Williams’ second half brace added to goals from Jo Hunter, Hannah Smith and Sarah Cockayne.
They are now the only team to win all of their games and are sitting pretty with 12 points at the head of the table.
After winning 4-3 against Olton and West Warwickshire, Canterbury pulled out a strong display to run out 5-3 winners over Clifton.
Especially impressive was Eliza Brett who scorched her way to a personal tally of four goals in one game.
But despite winning both of their games, Canterbury slipped to third after Bowdon Hightown enjoyed an explosive display in front of goal, scoring 14 in total.
First, Michelle Liptrot led the scoring against University of Birmingham as they won 5-1. Then, Liptrot went one better as she hit a hat-trick in a 9-1 trouncing of Slough. Tina Cullen matched the feat.
University of Birmingham find themselves bottom after the first weekend of play with just a solitary point. Clifton are also yet to score their first win after drawing with the bottom club in a 3-3 battle.
